Ok, with as many hours as I waste… er, um… spend… on Ravelry looking at patterns, how on earth did I miss those great hats??? (Or this one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vortex-2 which I found branching off from one of your links.) (I swear I don’t go off the trail on purpose. It just sorta happens.)

The fall knitting magazines (Knit Simple and KnitScene) have a lot of cute hats, too, some of which are “quick knits”. I have been doing a lot of “shadow cables”. But I do like Wurm and the last hat with matching cowl.
Always looking for fun hat pattern because my guild knits hats for the local branch of the Salvation Army.
