The fall knitting magazines (Knit Simple and KnitScene) have a lot of cute hats, too, some of which are "quick knits". I have been doing a lot of "shadow cables". But I do like Wurm and the last hat with matching cowl.

Always looking for fun hat pattern because my guild knits hats for the local branch of the Salvation Army.

Ok, with as many hours as I waste... er, um... spend... on Ravelry looking at patterns, how on earth did I miss those great hats??? (Or this one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vortex-2 which I found branching off from one of your links.) (I swear I don't go off the trail on purpose. It just sorta happens.)
And that scarf!
I love this 10 on Tuesday, but my queue might actually explode this time...
