Knitting Content Catch Up, part 1

I know ya’ll are off watching the Superbowl (I missed a Betty White commercial?!?)

And I’ve had these done for weeks, so it’s not all that exciting (unless, maybe, you’re the recipient. And it is actually winter where you live.)
x

Also, we have crocus:

(The weather is too weird to be excited – I am excited about getting some yardwork done before May. Someone had their windows open today. I didn’t think it was quite that warm.)
Actual Knitting Content
Jul 4th
Hey, I have a novel idea; let’s talk about knitting. (It’s about time, right?)
x
x
The Man’s sweater is actually almost long enough to join to the sleeves.
(When did that happen?) (Jared Flood’s Cobblestone (Rav); yarn is Cascade Eco Wool.)
x
x
And the Annis Shawl is, uhm, finished with the outside border and some level of mid-way through the short rows. Yarn is Dream in Color Starry.

I casted on for Lazy Katy (Rav link) My Overseer of the Department of Enabling pointed it out to me. I’m using Malabrigo Sock in the #173 Stonechat colorway.
(I had No Resistance – it’s got a simple interesting construction and the pix on Ravelry had me hooked from the start.)

Raspberry Ice Cream, the Daily Dog and Actual Knitting Content

This really bad picture

was really yummy raspberry granita. (Who knew taking pix of ice cream was so hard? Not only are you in a rush to eat it, but it reflects the light and melts while you’re “working”.)
We ran out of cream, otherwise we would have tried ice cream with swirls of fruit. (haarrummmph … all this ice cream producing uses more cream than I’m used to keeping in the house.)
x
And this is the best picture of Aurora today:

Ned gave her the pizza box. No, that is not a typo. The box was on the counter. Ned investigated. Ned decided he didn’t want it. Aurora was on the floor below him, gently panting to indicate that she’d like the box, if you know, he was done with it. Ned pushed it off the counter for Aurora. (It was a regular conversation between the two – fascinating and a bad thing to let happen. (Bad Human!) There’s no telling what Ned will do for her. The pizza box was relatively safe given that it was empty, but Aurora is still a diabetic and shouldn’t have too much of anything else they find. And we know she isn’t discriminating in her tastes.)

And this is Dude’s sleeve and a quarter:
x
x
It’s the Cobblestone Pullover by Jared Flood. In moments of recent stress, I couldn’t pay attention to the sleeve increasesd – so I off-loaded the stitches and started the body. He tried it on tonight. (What nonsense is this: I am trying to fit a sweater to a shrinking man – he’s dieting. (And I’m helping with all the ice cream experiments.))

xx
Anyway, given his reduction in size, all pressure on me to fit properly is off – aside from looking really short (the man is still tall!), I think it will fit nicely. And I can always block on the long side.
x
Yarn is Cascade Eco Wool, purchased for this purpose at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival in May 2008. (It was marinating …) I casted on for the sleeves sometime in 2011.
